the soul's CURRICULUM

away she ran

from the land that once hurt her

away from the pain ,

the lies,

the untruths

she sought something new.

unlike the old,

something fresh.

she ran she did she ran

it was what she needed to do.

she found herself in a new place.

where the sky breathed life

and the trees spoke nicely.

she found safety.

so she danced

she sung and she laughed

one night she laid down her head

and began to cry.

back she was being called.

back to the place

she fought so hard

to escape

“was this real” she asked

no answer came

because the answer

was already there.

back she went

soaking and sulking.

as she climbed the final peak

to the place she had escaped

she felt a release

and entered into an authentic

state of peace.

“you cannot run, dear one

because what you escape

can never be found”
