a human contemplation
when I sit in a pain and agony and discontentment, I cannot held but wonder if it is me who needs to let go.
why do we hold on? especially to things that hurt us, and to things we know are not good for us. this is the great human condition. i truly believe it to be.
that greed. that internal craving for more can be a beautiful motivator or it can be a deadly temptation. I really believe we hold on for the fear of letting go. i train myself to go without. we have to or the void swallows us up and it is just never ever enough.
and with that, what's up with always wanting what we don't have? it's not limited to any one group of people. i truly believe this as human condition. if we are not here we;re there and when we're there we want to be here. when we're in a relationship we want to be single and when we're single we're just dying for someone to sit in silence with.
why don't we let it all go? I really believe it comes down to that fear, that underlying fear or being out of control.
though every time i come to, i realize how truly good it feels to release. to pass off the reigns. to just go. i want to do it more. i want everyone to do it more.
what is this human condition? well, it's just how we're made. how we are. and much of it we cannot change, so that which we cannot change we must accept. this is a small scale like eating and those needs, but on a bigger scale, like the need for attention and self sabotage etc; i'm paraphrasing but I hope you get the gist.
There are some aspects of ourselves, and therefore others, that we cannot get around, we can only go through. Things will bother us, things will toggle us down, BUT we have to make a choice. We have to decide to do something differently, and THAT, I would say, is the hardest thing to do.
This human condition, this of that which we cannot change; we must move accordingly. What if we accepted? Accepted what we cannot change? Accepted the feeling? The situation?
IT WORKS!.
it is not always the favored choice, but it is the one that will elevate. That will deliver. but we must be decisive. We have to lean all the way in, jump off the edge if you will.
