the knight's sun

the knight in shining armor,

shielded and untouched.

constantly in the shell.

never knowing what it is to be love

for the heart must be guarded

safe and sealed.

the knight never knew who he was.

there was no other option.

the guard was real.

he often wondered what it would be like

to wonder the world

without the shield.

to be defensive.

away and untouched.

his wonder simultaneously scared him.

this made him realize,

he had been living a life of fear.

hiding he was.

he knew he had a purpose

and it led him to be here.

so there he was.

though he knew his time was up.

he touched himself,

his amour that is,

and trembled at the thought of removing his stiff, safe coat.

though with it rolled excitement and joy.

one by one,

the armor came off.

when it left his body,

it disappeared into thin air.

like it never even existed.

a he shed each layer,

he felt lighter.

alive and well.

a bit of shielding still lingered.

a need to protect his body.

he saw hands,

feet,

skin.

bare and raw.

never before seen.

he wondered to a body of water.

touching the pond he had often visited for the first time ever.

the feeling was interstellar,

he hands seemed to melt.

he caught his reflection.

the knight was no he at all.

met in the reflection-

a beautiful, soft skinned woman.

"this is who i am?"

"for now" the water replied.

stroking her hair,

rubbing her skin,

playing by herself.

embracing it all.

destiny it was.

to remove the guard and start anew.

she could not help but wonder what this is all about.

as she laid up and gazed into the blue of the sky,

she felt safe.

really and truly.

without any external need to hide or to shame.

"this is the day the king has made"

she heard from down the lane.

her fear returned.

but as she had learned,

it was followed by joy and excitement.

she followed the calling.

to find a parade.

multicolored women in dresses,

the most exquisite armor she had ever seen,

and a multitude of animals strolling through a wide country road.

there was gold,

there were signs,

and beautiful flowers.

she gazed in awe.

rubbing her skin yet again,

in honor and reverence of her strength,

exploration, and connection.

an older man slowly approached her.

he grabbed her so gently by the face.

he gazed deeply into her eyes,

she began to cry.

"who are you"

she said, confused sad scared. all at once.

he shared a warm smile.

"da da"

he replied.

the two hugged,

gratifying one another as never before seen.

both feeling as though they had been born again.

"did you leave me as a knight?"

she asked.

"it was my instructions"

he replied.

"from who"

she quickly answer.

"the same that told you to remove it."

there was silence.

a silence of powerful awe,

acknowledgement of the divine,

reverence for the movement of life force.

the two strolled the landscape together.

basking in one another's company.

away from the chaos of the parade.

"you have a special gift"

her father said.

"you must be guarded-

"to see you raw, means the time has come".

this brought her excitement,

she felt it all throughout her body.

it made sense.

she had truly never felt any emotion,

denying her feelings,

her cravings,

her desires.

was this meant to keep her safe?

or prepare her for what is to come?

she was not of this world.

only in it.

"you will change this world"

her father said.

the sun was beginning to set,

as the two found themselves relaxing on ancient stone mounds a top the rolling mountains.

the night was coming quickly.

she could tell the moon was full.

she was jolted back to her time of hiding,

the routine of constant protection,

especially in the darkness of night.

she caught a whiff of herself.

it was delicious.

she had never smelled something so real before.

her father said " i must leave you now.

who i am to intervene with destiny?"

she smiled.

she knew, but she didn't.

that's exactly how she liked it to be.

though she had never lived it out.

as she gazed up to the night sky,

admiring the moon above her.

she felt a deep connection within her body.

she was warming intensely.

in a way that was immensely pleasurable.

she surrendered to the experience.

for what seemed like the first time ever.

as she did,

she lost touch with her body.

so naturally this happened.

explosively,

she radiated.

mentally,

physically,

soulfully.

when she opened her eyes again,

she was looking into infinity.

endlessly.

to her right,

the bright, shining,

glorious moon.

she was exactly where she needed to be.

"the divine is always on time. i'm glad you could make it."

said the moon.

"who i am to intervene with destiny?"

she said.

there she radiated and pulsated bright

as a light in the night,

on and on,

into the world of eternity.

sometimes our shielding,

are our saviors until it is our time,

our time to be completely us,

and utterly free.

you will know

when that time

has come.
