the idea of "princess archetype"

today i'm sharing an idea that totally blew my mind. this idea of archetypes, and the underlying message they hold in this world, the waking world, the psyche. the idea was presented as such: as woman, we receive and internalize many projections of the outside world, which tend to be mostly negative ones, because these go against our true nature. the example shared with me was projection coming from our fathers, and that there is a "right thing to do." this confuses us and makes us unsure. am i doing the right thing? The presence of these types of projections build up our castle, i.e. our own personal prison, hence the reason why fairy tales tend to consist of a lovely princess locked away in a dark castle, locked away from the true beauty of the free world. This is real. It hit me in a way that made love to my intuition. Indescribable sense it makes. This pushes us to dream endlessly, yet without our power to bring the dreams to life, for we are locked away from the space in which they can be created in. This is the journey of our life, exiting the castle. Making our way slowly and surely away from the place which kept us captive. As we move through our castle, we will meet others, fears, and insecurities, and in those confrontations we have a choice as to whether we will see them with courageous, loving eyes, or turn back afraid to see them in the light. Our whole life is a fairy tale. Everyone playing an important and perfect role in the dance that is unique to only us. We must go. or we will sit with our dreams, in a dreary castle, that was never built to be lived in forever. and prince charming...we'll talk about him another time.

with all my love from one princess to another,....
