the river lesson
i came to a very powerful realization when i was watching the flow of the river. none of this water has experienced this moment before. the movement of the river was brand new to them. each particle must embody trust release and acceptance. without them the river would not go.
this was a sign. human life is the same way. when lived to the fullest, we have complete trust in the continuation of life. we go with its flow.
i think about the stagnant pools that form on the sides of the river. these parallel moments of uncertainty, hesitation, mistrust. when we shy away from the movement of life.: like after a painful experience, a deeply negative feeling, a constricting thought. these pauses are momentarily necessary.
we are constantly surrounded by miracles. how brave that water is to just go. flow the heart of the river, trust in its play and accept the unknown plan.
life is not about knowing. it's about doing, being, understanding. that happens beyond the mind. staying stuck in the mind is like being the stagnant pool on the edge of the river. it is essential, but only until recovery.
the goal in life is to keep going. continuing. even when things hurt. we can do this through trust, acceptance, and remembrance. some experiences make us feel small and weak, but we must remember we are one particle in the entire dream of the universe. when we attach to our singularity we feel small, and when we remember our true identity, as a piece of a whole, we feel nothing at all. we only live.
