not knowing

is an essential part of life. This is an aspect I find all of us fighting far too often. As unfortunate as it is for our human minds to accept, we don’t really know much. I begin to find safety and peace in the perceived control of a situation, in how well I can dictate what I can do and what I can create.

Living in that loop is one of the most limiting things we can do. It’s a constant cycle of prediction, and the truth is that the few times we get our predictions right is what keeps us going, even what it is a bad outcome-that doesn’t matter! What matters is that we foreshadowed the outcome and that gives us a sense of control, a sense that the most animalistic part of our brain deepy craves.

God is the help for bridging this gap. Trusting in our higher power is such a beautiful and freeing thing to do. We live in a world where everyone believes that they know everything, but the truth is that we live in a world where everyone knows nothing. Ignorance is bliss. The addiction to KNOWING and PREDICTING is toxic, it is the gateway to a life of stagnant predictable choices and a path to a place where creativity goes to die.

Let go and accept it- we don’t know and that is OKAY! Our soul has the strength to keep going even when we do not. Moving forward one step at a time is all we can do. I have noticed that I want to see and know 10 steps ahead and guess what? That freaks me over, everytime. I get a glimpse into the future, but I miss the present that is right in front of me.

One of the coolest parts of the human experience is that we don’t know. We don’t HAVE to know. Letting all of that go riddled my anxiety. We are born and we will die, not on our time but on God’s time. I am safe in the rhymth of the universe.

MWAH!
